WHO WE ARE
Raising The World is a non-profit organization incorporated in 2020. It was born out of a vision that started a decade ago by our founder, June Miller. She created Raising The World as a way to give back to peoples that are working to sustain the health and well-being of their communities and our shared earth.
OUR MISSION is to work with communities that are developing initiatives to enhance their health and well-being through the arts, education, and spiritual development.
OUR VISION is to support projects that enhance and sustain the flourishing of diverse cultures on this shared planet, and to strengthen life-giving ecological and economic systems in order to protect the planet and encourage the survival of generations of diverse cultures and peoples.
We seek to raise funding and gather resources through grassroots initiatives and allocate these funds and resources to people and communities in need.
We strive to create opportunities for cultural outreach and exchange with the goal of bridging the gaps between individuals, cultures and nations and aim to serve as a bridge between resources and communities by building lasting relationships that are based on trust and reciprocity.
The initial focus of Raising The World is to work with indigenous tribes in the Amazon Rainforest. Thorough a long standing relationship between June and communities of the Sápara Nation in Ecuador, we have the opportunity to support projects deep in the jungle and are honored to be in alliance with these indigenous tribes as we begin our work.
As our organization grows, we will be building more relationships and broadening the scope of our work to include many other projects with communities around the world.
